We grow communities.
Because your lawn deserves better than best.
Why do I need any trees in my yard?
Better yet…. Maybe you have a couple, but you just want to get rid of them. That’s fair. Sometimes it’s all about preference. More often than not, though, you might actually want to plant or tree, or better yet…. Install one! If that’s the case, bravo!
Trees are the lifeforce of the community. Nothing speaks majesty and wonder better than a strong, healthy tree in the yard.
(Plus that may mean a treehouse could be built for the kids, but we digress.)
There are some things to consider, though, when looking at tree installation:
- What kind of soil do I have?
- Is there adequate drainage?
- Do I have enough space and depth?
If your soil’s not conducive to tree health, and if the next two questions are a flat ‘no’, reconsider tree installations (sadly).
The most important thing about installing trees into the yard is ensuring it goes deep enough for sufficient root growth. The right space makes a big difference, too.
The good news: we can easily help out with the idea, considering the option…. Simply click that link!
What's the most common reason for having a tree in the yard?
Aside from the obvious benefit (the treehouse *ahem*), one reason stands above all else, for prime importance: shade. Especially in Cape Coral, Florida.
And that shade isn’t just about blocking sunlight, but also heat. It can keep your home cool. It can keep outdoor spaces cool. And, quite honestly, those trees are fun to look at as a result (no sun in your eyes).
This is also why many tree installation services pay close attention to how the sun moves across the yard. Because a tree that really isn’t blocking any sunlight or heat is a tree that simply isn’t doing its job!
Moreover, paying close attention to any areas in your yard that especially need shade — like flowerbeds or water features — says a lot about the right goals to have. Plus being mindful of any other structures in close vicinity of where anyone might want to plant a tree may be of specific influence.
Imagine an acorn tree looming above your driveway as you pull in your Ferrari only to find out one day a lot of those pine-covered bombs decided to drop on top of it.
That would be a nightmare of the acorns.
Why should I consider a specific tree type?
Not every tree is alike. Some grow just as tall as wide while others don’t. Oaks provide plenty of shade whereas magnolias do not.
Should I get a tree that bears fruit?
Personal preference here. Although harvest time can be heaven or hell. Unless you want a gingko tree (the smelliest fruit!).
Should I worry about how tall the tree will grow?
Indeed. There’s no telling how tall a 4-foot sapling will end up being in ten or twenty years. So certainly be mindful of electrical wires!
